Programme Overview

The Jamboree Programme runs from the Opening Ceremony on the evening of the 27 July 2007 until the Closing Ceremony on the evening of the 8 August 2007. During this time the programme aims to excite, motivate and challenge Scouts, Leaders and members of the International Service Team.

Operation One World

Our aim is that Scouts from as many countries as possible will take part in the 21st World Scout Jamboree. In order to achieve this, a solidarity fund - Operation One World - has been set up to help Scouts from less well off countries to participate in the Jamboree along the same lines as for previous World Scout Jamborees.

Centenary of Scouting

Scouting started in 1907, with an experimental camp on Brownsea Island in the UK for 20 boys from a wide variety of social backgrounds.

Today, Scouting is a million times bigger than when it first started. It involves girls and boys, men and women from every race, religion and culture, and nearly every country in the world.

The World Scout Jamboree 2007

Scouting and its values have never been more important.
The 21st World Scout Jamboree, which will be hosted in the United Kingdom in 2007, will bring together young people from all around the world.

Jamboree Programme

The activity programme is at the heart of the World Scout Jamboree. During the Jamboree, participants will experience a wide range of activities which will in turn inspire them, challenge them, and thrill them.

Where is the Jamboree 2007?

The 21th World Scout Jamboree will take place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, in the United Kingdom. It is within easy reach of both central London and the airports surrounding London.
