Operation One World
Our aim is that Scouts from as many countries as possible will take part in the 21st World Scout Jamboree. In order to achieve this, a solidarity fund - Operation One World - has been set up to help Scouts from less well off countries to participate in the Jamboree along the same lines as for previous World Scout Jamborees.
Centenary of Scouting
Scouting started in 1907, with an experimental camp on Brownsea Island in the UK for 20 boys from a wide variety of social backgrounds.
Today, Scouting is a million times bigger than when it first started. It involves girls and boys, men and women from every race, religion and culture, and nearly every country in the world.
